A brief history

In its early days, Ao Nang was a small fishing village. Recognizing the enormous tourism potential of the region, several entrepreneurs established prestigious establishments and leisure centers. Notable among these are Aonang Paradise Resort, De Malee Villa, Lotus Court Restaurant and Ao Nang Bamboo Village. The town's development followed suit.

Ao Nang is a modern, clean and naturally beautiful town. Mother Nature has truly shaped this corner of the world. The site is renowned for its imposing limestone ranges, coral, expansive beach and shallow waters.

The town thrives on proximity tourism. Many visitors stopover here to reach popular destinations like Railay Beach or the Hong Islands. They stock up on provisions before continuing their journeys on the famous long-tail boats.

Climate in the region

Ao Nang enjoys mild weather. It's sunny almost year-round. Light rainfall is, however, to be expected. The average temperature is around 27°C. We recommend visiting during the dry season between November and March.

How to get there?

Visitors from distant lands must first reach Krabi International Airport. From this city, take local transportation to reach the road serving Ao Nang. You can get there by taxi, bus or rental car. The journey takes approximately thirty minutes.

How to get around Ao Nang?

Numerous tuk-tuks traverse Ao Nang, serving as the main means of transportation on site. Generally, fares cost just a handful of baht.

You can always rent a car to get around or walk to stay in shape.

For boat trips to neighboring islands, budget at least 100 baht per person.
