Koh Tao Cabana

Just steps away from the lively village, Koh Tao Cabana Resort unfolds its cottages in a splendid coconut grove on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand. If you dream of spending your vacation in an exceptional hotel without breaking your budget, look no further; this is the place for you!

Staying at the Koh Tao Cabana Resort

Koh Tao Cabana Resort is a resort harmoniously integrated with nature. Initially starting with just a few bungalows nestled in a coconut grove north of Sairee Beach, today it shines as a proudly three-star destination. The resort offers a collection of stylish villas and a wide range of modern facilities for your well-being. The idyllic setting of the bay inspires relaxation and escape. Additionally, note its proximity to Koh Tao village, where you can enjoy numerous beach bars and other sensational activities.

Be charmed by the cottages at Koh Tao Cabana

Built in wood with a subtle artistic touch, the cottages blend gracefully into Koh Tao's exotic surroundings. The villas draw on Mediterranean architectural influences while retaining their Thai roots, offering an authentic island experience in these elegant and warm accommodations. Featuring generous spaces ranging from 42 to 160 sq m, the units are divided into four categories: beach suite villas, whitesand villas, cottage villas, and patio villas.

One of the resort's gems is the Koi Pool Villa, a private house just steps from the beach ideal for families and couples. In addition to spacious living rooms and bright bedrooms, you'll have your own pool with a jacuzzi and a private spa area with treatment tables for serene relaxation.

Cottage villas offer the coziness of wooden houses and reveal breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand. For a Robinson Crusoe-style stay, book the Treehouse. Perched in the trees, this large two-story cabin is accessed by a rope bridge and can accommodate up to eight people.

Whitesand Villas are favored by art enthusiasts, who can delight in the wooden sculptures adorning the clay brick walls. These round homes feature open-air terrazzo bathrooms for showering under Koh Tao's tropical sun.

Live a relaxed life with your feet in the water

The resort's restaurant, named Rim Lae, or "by the sea," enjoys a good reputation among food enthusiasts. The buffet breakfast will delight your taste buds while providing the energy needed for your activities. Lunch is always hearty, to be savored with the gentle caress of the sea breeze. After a charming sunset, prepare for dinner. This time, the chefs suggest typical Thai specialties paired with Japanese dishes.

On the beach, lounge chairs welcome you for relaxation. Sports enthusiasts have access to kayaks, paddleboards, and diving equipment to channel their energy. This part of Koh Tao hides an exceptional spot for snorkeling. During an underwater adventure, you'll have the privilege of observing immense schools of fish and colorful corals. Don't miss the artificial waterfall overlooking the pool. Visit the Kajavari Spa for relaxing massages and beneficial holistic treatments for the body.

Leisure activities abound on the island, whether in the village, on land, on the beach, or off the coast. Head to the John Suwan viewpoint to admire Koh Tao's fantastic landscape and surroundings. Elevated spots are ideal for stargazing once the night falls. Make a visit to Wat Koh Tao temple to receive divine blessings.

How to get there?

There are several ways to reach Koh Tao Island:

  • By plane: The nearest airport is in neighboring Koh Samui, if you prefer air travel. From Koh Samui, embark on a three-hour ferry cruise to Koh Tao.
  • By land and sea: If you are on the mainland, start by finding a bus to Chumphon or Surat Thani, which should be easy given Thailand's abundance of public transportation. Once in either of these cities, head to the port where boats depart for Koh Tao. From Chumphon, expect a three-hour journey, or four hours from Surat Thani.
  • By boat: Regular boats connect the trio of Samui, Phangan, and Tao.

Upon arrival on the island, contact Koh Tao Cabana staff for practical advice on reaching the resort.
