During this countryside escape, choose your accommodation from cabins or cottages carefully nestled in the heart of the garden. After your explorations, these cozy cocoons envelop you in a tranquil atmosphere for a well-deserved rest. During the day, if you're not inclined to move, enjoy a leisurely read on the sunny terrace, while soaking in the romantic scenery of Farmstay at Pai.
The Garden Hut, with a 20-square-meter interior space, is designed for two. Rustic in style with bamboo and wooden structures, it offers a good level of comfort with various amenities. In the bathroom, you have hot water, a hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries. Slightly larger at 25 sq m, the Garden Cottage provides the same amenities.
Daily housekeeping ensures impeccable cleanliness in each unit. By default, rooms are equipped with two beds (one double or two singles), with extra beds available upon request if you're traveling with children or loved ones.
Pai, a paradise for outdoor activities
Pai offers numerous opportunities to relax in the great outdoors, and the farm is the perfect base for starting your fantastic journey. Discoveries and thrills alternate to create unique memories throughout your visits.
Firstly, dare to step back in time by crossing Pai Memorial Bridge, the region's iconic historical attraction. Built in 1941 during World War II, this monument was used by the Japanese army to transport weapons and supplies to Myanmar.
Next, immerse yourself in the Yunnan Chinese Cultural Center, also known as Santichon Village. Here, the culture and traditions of the Yunnanese people unfold before you in a lively tableau. Taste delicious dishes from the community, visit traditional homes, try on typical attire, all while learning the basics of their language.
Located 8 kilometers south of downtown Pai, you can relax in the hot springs of Pong Nam Ron Thapai. Don't miss Mo Paeng Waterfall, nestled in the forests west of town.
How to get there?
Situated midway between Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son, Pai is accessible by various means of transportation. For quick access from Bangkok or other major cities in Thailand, you can fly to Pai Airport.
By bus, the journey to Pai takes 3 to 4 hours from Chiang Mai, depending on traffic. From Chiang Rai, expect to spend about 7 hours on the road to reach the town. Finally, starting from Mae Hong Son, the provincial capital, the journey takes 4 hours.
You can rent a vehicle for independent travel. However, be cautious when driving on the winding and bumpy mountain roads. Feel free to contact Farmstay at Pai for travel advice (staff speaks English). There is public parking near the farm for your vehicle. Shuttle services can be arranged for an additional fee if needed.
