Going to Thailand

Thailand has about a dozen international airports, the largest of which is Suvarnabhumi, located 25 kilometers southeast of Bangkok. There are direct flights from France, which take approximately 11 hours. For those on a tighter budget, many airlines, such as Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Qatar Airways, etc., offer flights to Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, or Koh Samui with a layover. Direct flights from France

From France, Thai Airways and Air France are the only airlines operating direct flights from Paris to Bangkok. The journey takes an average of 10 hours and 30 minutes. With Brussels Airlines, Thai Airways also offers direct flights between Brussels and Bangkok.

Overland border crossing

Thailand shares its borders with Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar. For world travelers, for example, it is relatively easy to reach the Kingdom of Siam by land. Many border crossings allow for legal entry into Thai territory. It is possible to cross the borders by bus, taxi, or private car with a driver. Of course, you will need to exit the vehicle to have your passport and Thai visa checked.

Going to Thailand by train

It is possible to travel to Thailand by train. With Malaysia, the national railway lines of Malaysia and Thailand meet at Butterworth, located 93 km south of the border. From Cambodia, the train border crossing is between Aranyaprathet and Poipet. From Laos, the Thai-Lao border is between Nong Khai and Vientiane.
